TRAVEL TIPS

Orlando features sunshine and warm temperatures year-round. And while this makes it a great vacation spot, others think that as well. When planning your trip, keep school vacations and summers in mind, as Orlando tends to get very busy during those times. There is a lot of public transportation available in Orlando, just be sure to check the rates and the specific stops before planning your vacation itinerary. Also check to see if your home resort offers free shuttle service to any of your desired attractions.

If you're traveling with young kids, a stroller is a key necessity when spending a day at the parks. Bring your own or rent one so the kids can nap to avoid getting overtired.

While Orlando isn't home to any beaches, there are several that are about an hour and a half away, including Cocoa Beach, Canaveral National Seashore, and Daytona Beach.

Orlando has three airports, giving you more options for scheduling and planning your flights.
