TRAVEL TIPS

Nuevo Vallarta resorts and hotels are served by the airport in Puerto Vallarta, so there may be a considerable amount of ground travel needed to get to your destination. However, Nuevo Vallarta is often less crowded than its larger neighbor to the south, and the weather stays pleasant year-round. Nuevo Vallarta’s central position on the Riviera Nayarit makes it a great jumping-off point to experience the rest of the region, namely locations like Punta Mita, San Blas, and Sayulita.

The best time to visit Nuevo Vallarta is December and January.

Due to its location 15 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport, most resorts offer shuttle transportation.

Because of its appeal to American tourists, many resorts, restaurants, and shops accept U.S. dollars.
