Puerto Vallarta is a great year-round destination that is guaranteed to provide you with your dream vacation. However, the best time of year to visit is between April and June, when the weather is still cool and the room rates are less expensive. Getting around the city is easy enough by rental car or taxi, but visitors may have better luck using the bus. U.S. travelers will need a passport, no visa necessary.
Puerto Vallarta may experience short rain storms in late summer, so pack an umbrella just in case.
Spanish is the official language, but because of the large presence of tourism, many people in popular vacation areas speak English.
